Welcome to the CeBIT 2006. As soon as you enter you can see the announcement for the next CeBIT ^^ But it was a big fair on the world biggest fair ground. |

The consumer halls looked a lot like the Games Convention, especially on the weekend. There were not really much big highlights, but a lot of little innovations. |

The WCG (World Cyber Games) were also present in Hall 27. The WCG 2006 Euro Championship were played. Sadly there were no StarCraft games, but other than that a very popular event. |

That is our booth in Hall 27. We hadn't much to show except our little game Rocket Commander. Looks like our Boje had enough for this day and is ready to go home ^^ |

Right behind our booth you could see the Robonova-1 Robot. It moved not very fluidly, but the crowed was attracked to it never the less. From time to time 8 of them danced boy-group-like syncron to the music. Interesting, but expensive (900 euros). |

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. On this Games Convention a lot of bab .. hey, wait a second, aren't we still on the CeBIT? Anyways, nice chicks, especially from Speed Link and ATI. Just put them in front of your products so I don't have to see them. |

Right beside the WCG main stage players could train and play a little Warcraft3. But as you can see the players were very concentrated and didn't laugh a bit when I told the most funniest joke ever (don't ask me what it was, after that I stopped my comedian career). |

Ok, back to the Games. This is Fifa and they are playing one of the earlier group games. But my ex interns Christoph and Enrico and me watched the final in the evening and it was boring as hell. We waited forever to see some even more boring WC3 loserbracet final games. Maybe I was just too tired this day. |

EA was coming with a truck full of games and consoles. Earlier rumors did say that EA wanted to crush some other publishers with the truck, but since there weren't much on the CeBIT, no success there. But we have to accept that EA is the biggest publisher on consoles, every single console has Need for Speed: Most wanted on place 1. Not bad, not bad. |

But the crowd doesn't care, as soon as someone yells "Freebies", "Free stuff", "TSHIIIIIIIIIIIRTS" or something like that they go nuts. Funny thing was that most of the guys catching this freebies didn't even know what they were getting. After walking away from this truck we heard 2 guys asking themselfs "what the hell is this thing?" .. Looked like a cell-blink-led. |

Here you can see the new toaster/mini coffee table/picture frame from Microsoft. Ok, maybe it was constructed by Samsung, but Microsoft is so proud they made the software for it, you can understand why they tell you it is developed by them. In reality this thing is named "Origami", but I don't really know where I can fold it yet. It is a very powerful PC, only a good 3D graphic chip is missing, but other than that it can replace your living room PC. |

O2 had this big booth in the Communications halls. Looks cool, but maybe it is a little to big for a normal living room. Other than that the Communications halls were pretty boring. Just more and more telephones and cells, nothing really new. I guess the cell developers think that calling someone is really new technology. |

Back in hall 27 everything looked like the Games Convention again, much better. |
|
|
 |
|
 |
 |

 |

But even in other halls many exhibitors did use computer games and cool hardware like this formular 1 car to present their products. |

In the evening even the babes had to relax, yap, running around all day is very exhausting. Funny thing was all ATI babes looked exactly the same. Same outfit, same hair, same height? same graphic card? |
|

This ATI babe couldn't get enough. It was after hours and she still posed for me for this picture. Very nice. This will stay in my memories and I admire her engagement :) |

Modded PCs were also a big thing in the Consumer halls. This bat may be a little big in comparison with a laptop, but it has 2 seperate water cooling circuits and is full of newest hardware (2*NVidia 7800 SLI, Corsair 2GB, etc.) |

A soccer ball. That's all I have to say about this picture. |

And here is another modded PC. Looks more like a doll's house, but it contains all PC components as well. Its creative, but not really useful, isn't it? |

And thats it for this years CeBIT, bye bye everyone. |
